The Origins and Development of Birkman Assessment
Birkman Assessment was developed by the late Roger Winfred Birkman, an American Psychologist who earned a Ph.D. in the aftre mentioned discipline at the University of Texas. Before he earned his doctorate, he worked as a pilot bomber in the second world war; this was where the development of Birman Assessment originated.
He became interested in discovering personalities of people that had been shortlisted to also become pilot bombers with the objective of finding out what sort of people could carry out the job effectively. This was a prototype of the test which was refined and finalized in his final thesis in 1961.
What is Birkman Assessment?
Birkman Assessment is used to give insights into a person’s personality and what motivates their decisions. It is an effective way of measuring social behaviors and predicting reactions to different stimulus. The Assessment has been backed in multiple scientific studies to be accurate and helpful in an array of professions. There is more than one type of Birkman reports available.
The questionnaire is completed online within about 30 min. After you complete the Birkman questionnaire, your assessment results are analyzed along with your resume and interpreted to you during an hour consultation session in person or via Skype. The session is fully personalized for you and your goals. You receive a full package of reports at the end of your session.
